Since the release of the LaFerrari, Ferrari stuck to their normal formula for a while, with the occasional front-engined V12, and a flock of mid-engined Twin-Turbo V8s. Until the SF90 came along. Ferrari has returned to the hybrid game with more power, more acceleration, and more new technology than its predecessor.
This time they have gone for the more compact 4.0-Litre twin-turbo V8 from the 488. Instead of the KERS system used previously, they've gone for a slightly more typical Plug-In system. With three electric motors, one on each front wheel and one sitting between the V8 engine and the transmission. These three motors coupled with the V8 create a staggering 986bhp through a four-wheel drive system that will propel you from 0-62mph in just 2.5 seconds. That power and the raw excitement of that acceleration can add up to an experience that will make you rethink how you would define fast.
